As a corporate citizen, RIPI takes cognizance of its social responsibility to be part of the local communities within which the company operates. We undertake to contribute to the educational, cultural, economic and social development of the local communities within the company Project area.
Local Community: Jakun Tribe
Chief among the local community to benefit from our operation, is the Jakun tribe. Traditionally, the Jakun lived by trapping fish, hunting with blowpipes and gathering fruits and vegetables. Through our operation, we have provided education, employment, training and raised up entrepreneurship among the community.
